OCSA
is the only private occupational health company in South Africa that has a
registered nursing school. Our school, which is accredited by University of
Johannesburg, offers post-basic nursing diploma in occupational health for
registered nurses. We also offer practical nursing training modules in induction
training, clinic management, policy development, and clinical skills such as
spirometry, audiometry, vision screening for industry, health assessment and
physical examination, and dispensing.
Employers are obliged by law to provide training to employees, including first
aid, fire-fighting, defensive driving, safety regulations, and "right to know"
training. OCSA can provide these prescribed courses for employees. Most courses
are SETA-accredited, so a percentage of the cost can be claimed back from Skills
Development Levies paid.
