WE CARE

We care – Community outreach

From helping the SPCA to Christmas hampers for children, OCSA is involved with communities nation wide!

Taking the road less travelled is dusty, and often rather bumpy business. A number of our clients are situated in outlying areas of the old Transkei and it can take one and a half hours just to cover 15 kilometres!

Partnerships that create a difference!

As our name suggests, ‘Care’ is the heartbeat of OCSA. There are many regional community programmes we are involved in, with a keen eye on children and HIV/Aids. We are proud of our BBBEE scorecard, and the full points awarded to us for our involvement, however with so many nursing practitioners on our team, community support runs so much deeper than a scorecard.

CSI is an area we really connect with.

OCSA CARES

KZN:

In an exciting Guinness Book of World Records Attempt, OCSA took part in in the world’s largest event for World Spirometry Day at the 2012 Comrades Marathon in June.

GAUTENG:
During the massive crisis of xenophobic attacks which rocked the country in 2008, OCSA gathered together to provide first aid equipment and medication. It was ‘helping hands’ that were needed, and many of our off duty staff volunteered their professional experience and caregiving to over 4000 displaced and desperate people who were being housed and protected at the Germiston City Hall. Many on our team donated money, groceries and bedding in the true spirit of OCSA Cares.

NORTH WEST PROVINCE:

50 homeless people living with HIV were provided with housing as an outcome of the Sun City to Table Bay Cycle Race. OCSA is a proud sponsor of this annual initiative.

EASTERN CAPE (EC):
The HIV Business Coalition has done great work in bringing EC businesses together to consolidate their HIV initiatives.

MPUMALANGA:
Through our Halls and Sons Farm Clinic, much needed Primary Health Services are provided to this community who really need support.

BHP Billiton Clinic is also doing good work and is looking forward to initiating an anti-drowning campaign at beaches in the KZN North coast region.
